Do not Worry,
With thankfulness Work diligently,
Be kind to others"
- Mikao Usui
|R e i k i pronounced (Ray-Key) is a gentle art of hands on healing. It is referred to as Universal Life Energy. (Rei) means something mysterious,
miraculous, and sacred. (Ki) means the atmosphere or something unseen or the energy of the universe. The Japanese pictogram for what we know as(Reiki) can be defined
as a miraculous and sacred energy of the universe, which sustains all life. Reiki is the name used by Usui Sensei for the cosmic energy. Through a process called Attunement or Reiju, the ability to channel Reiki is initiated by a Reiki Master or Shihan. |
Attunement or Reiju is a gentle process of passing the ability to connect with reiki, to a student. During and or following the Attunement or Reiju process, recipients have reported profound shifts in perception.
A Reiki session is administered as you lay on a massage table fully clothed. It is a time to relax as the Reiki Practitioner works by the laying of hands upon various positions of the body.
Reiki can easily be learned to apply to yourself, family, friends. Some Professional healing practices are based solely upon Reiki hands on healing. I advocate Reiki training for "everyone" who has the interest. It is a fantastic modality for self-healing as well as for helping others to heal.
